David Rodriguez calls out Klitschko brothers to fight him – Boxing news
The Nino, David Rodriguez, has thrown a challenge to the Klitschko brothers, as he reckons he has the power to knockout any one of them.
The 33-year-old unbeaten American pugilist, Rodriguez, who has an excellent record of 34 wins including 32 by the way of a knockout mostly in the first round, told the media Wladimir Klitschko and Vitali Klitschko both have never faced a real heavyweight
in the ring.
Rodriguez also commented on David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye, who recently lost his WBA world heavyweight championship belt by a unanimous decision in a unification bout for the heavyweight titles against the IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine champion, Wladimir
Klitschko.
He stated Haye was also an easy opponent for Wladimir, as he has fought most of his fights in the cruiserweight division.
“Haye fought a valiant effort, but again too small and fought at Cruiserweight for most of his career,” said Rodriguez.
In the end, Rodriguez remarked he has what it needed to be in a heavyweight division and therefore the Klitschko brothers should call him instead of any other fighter. He added the Klitschkos will not even have to chase him, as they can get to him easily
by contacting his promoter Zef Ramirez.
While speaking on his inclusion, he remarked, “I’m 6’5”, 250 pounds of Heavyweight that has size and power to knock these Klitschko’s out! I am a real heavyweight. I am challenging either brother to face me. Fight a real heavyweight with knock-out power,
size, I am in my prime, and have a great record.”
He added, “You will not have to chase me; I won’t be trying to box. But you won’t be prepared for the power my punch has and I will bring the Heavyweight titles back to America!”
Let’s see whether Rodriguez, who is currently ranked number 24th in the American Heavyweight division, gets a fight against either one of the Klitschko brothers or not.
