David Schwarz commentary?

I was watching the AFL match between Collingwood and Port Adelaide on Friday night and couldnt help but notice that he has no clue whatsoever about calling a match. Dennis Commetti and Nathan Buckley even laughed at him halfway through the telecast. To which there was silence for like 20 seconds. He may have played as a mediocre centre half forward, but as for a footy brain and commentator, I think Caroline Wilson would provide better insight. Why hasn't channel 7 sacked him or let him commentate with utter stupid remarks. It seems we have Dermott Brereton number 2 on our hands. What do you think? Bring on Voss and Buckley and Hird, footballers who can actually provide some thought for their viewers.

His commentary is very lame...only the gold like Dennis Commetti deserves utmost praise....when it works out, I turn down the TV and put on the radio broadcasters who do a superb job

I dont think Schwarz is like Dermie in my opinion, I think that David has a good sense of humour too.I think there a negative side to all.

Voss is going to jump out the box during a game and spray someone, Bucks could give paralysis by Analysis,Olorenshaw stuffs up words as a boundry rider.(Sorry Hirds perfect) but in the end most are ok.

FYI David Schwarz was once considered to be the best centre half foward in1994 before the three knee reconstructions.

I could not agree more mate,Schwarz was an over- rated footballer & as far as his commentry goes, I find its garbage he forgot to put in the bin with his last punt ticket!

He is an idiot. I'd ratherth Caro Wilthson shesth even betther than him.

Everything he says is stupid. He was talking about how it was going to be Saddington's last game yesterday, he then realized it was probably the wrong thing to say and then said he has been a great player over the years ahaha. He's a fair dinkum idiot.

He has no idea what he is talking about!!! and he says half of the AFL players names wrong listen to how he says Drew Petrie's name from North Melbourne it is a disgrace and i agree with you it is time for the sack!!

ABC Radio commentary is the best available for the actual calling of the play, although Dennis Commetti is worth listening to for his witticisms. TV has good special comments through Bucks, Voss and Blight but commercial radio calling is for boofheads only.

All I can say is I cant wait till Ch 9 get the footy back. Ch 10 are ok but Ch 7 lol have no idea
