Silva has come out and made it clear that he has nothing on his conscience as he has always played with his heart at Manchester City and was not interested in seeking a move to Real Madrid in 2010 when the Citizens
came calling at Valencia...
Rumours have emerged that Real Madrid wanted to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 but instead of opting to switch to the Spanish giants, Silva decided to seek his fortunes
abroad in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 as they did not want to sign a player who would be a problem
in the dressing room later on.
Nonetheless, David Silva has done extraordinarily well in the English Premier League as his passing range and his quick feet have given him an advantage in a league which seldom emphasizes on technical football. With Manchester
City, Silva is on course to claim the Premier League title and last season he also won the F.A Cup with them and played in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Silva said in his interview, "If Real Madrid didn't want to sign me I don't know why these rumours came out, with accusations being thrown around. My conscience is clear and I have always been professional. That whole affair didn't
anger me but it puzzled me greatly.”
He added, "Neither http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 nor Real made any move. It was City who made a move for me and that is why I am here. I went where I was wanted. I was happy at Valencia but because of circumstances I had to leave. City put their faith
in me more strongly than anyone else and I made the right decision.”
Silva will hope that he can assist Manchester City to their first Premier League title win and in doing so claim some glory as well. It will be interesting to see if the Spanish midfielder himself makes it into the first team with
his national team for the EURO 2012 competition as well considering that he is already having a fantastic season in England.
