David Silva feels his success at Manchester City has shunned his involvement in the Spanish national team
Manchester City midfielder and Spanish international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601 has gone on to reveal that he feels his success with Manchester City has been halting his progress with the Spanish national team.
Silva went onto join City from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 in 2010 and has since then gone on to become one of the most dominant and influential players at City.
Despite that fact, the talented twenty five year old has not been given ample playing time on the international stage and that is rather confusing to most. This is mainly because the player seems to be playing exceptionally well and he still isn’t being
given the call up that he truly deserves.
When talking about his participation with the national team, Silva is quoted to have said: "I don't think that your performances at club level have any effect on whether you play for the national side. I have played at a very high level for my club for a
long time, but it's not been enough to earn a starting berth"
The player then admitted that perhaps the reason for him not getting the call up, was because the team didn’t need him at the moment.

"I feel lucky to be part of this great squad, but I also get the feeling that the coach doesn't really need me.”
Having said that, the player then went on to finally admit that perhaps it was his decision to leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 that caused him to lose a permanent spot in the national team and that it was perhaps too late to change anything now.
The partially disappointed midfielder, then went on to add that things might have been different had he played for either Real Madrid or Barcelona.
He added: "Whether my situation would have been different if I played for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 or Real Madrid? To be honest, I sometimes get the feeling that I would be treated differently if I had joined one of those two teams."
Silva is quite easily one of the best players in the world at the moment, the midfielder has been phenomenal for City this season and it seems like the sky is the limit for the player at the moment.
However, the fact that he is being constantly being shunned from the national team can only mean that there is something else that is going on behind the scenes. Whether it was the player’s decision to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, or something else is not quite clear,
but what is certain is that there is more to this puzzle, than the eye can see.
