The Manchester City star voiced his desire to win more accolade with the Spanish national team after being part of their historic Euro 2012 triumph.

The Manchester City attacker claimed that he was lucky to be a part of such an exceptional group of individuals. Continuing on the topic of European Championship, Silva claimed that his opener against Italy was a stroke of luck that set the wheels of the fixture in their favour.
"I was lucky enough to score the first goal, which helped to set a course for us and to give us more options. We knew that it was essential to score first and we emphasised this before the game. This is why we came out attacking as much as possible from the start, and we were lucky enough to manage it", Silva was quoted on FIFA.com.

While responding to questions about Spanish national team’s future course, Silva remarked that the desire to win more titles is still fresh in the players and he will do his best to keep his place in La Roja dressing room.
"You never stop wanting titles. The feeling you get from winning is beyond compare. So you approach the tournaments wanting to feel those emotions again. From an individual perspective it’s important to try to keep your place", he remarked.
