David Suazo looking to prove his worth after joining Catania: Serie A news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Suazo-c10611, is eager to prove himself after completing his move to Serie A outfit, Catania.
Suazo was released by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan this summer and Cagliari re-signed him to play for them but suddenly they told the striker to leave the club, as he was not in their plans. The striker was shattered with the news and held talks
with the club President, Massimo Cellino.
It is believed that the decision also lead to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Donadoni’s dismissal as the manager, as he had a disagreement with the President about letting the striker go.
Suazo has thanked Catania for their trust in him and claimed that he will not let them down. The 31-year-old admitted that he is eager to prove to his former club that they were wrong to let him go.
Talking to the reporters Suazo said, “I am happy with this opportunity. I’m determined to do well, become a protagonist again and prove what I can do. I am proud to be wearing the Catania jersey and hope to give the fans many moments
of joy. I want to get back to feeling the joy of the pitch and contact with crowds and even the media, as I haven’t experienced this in far too long.”
“Do I have something to prove to Cagliari? I have to prove it to many people, but this is not the time for that. I just want to focus on football.”
The striker has spent the past two season on-loan with Benfica and Genoa respectively and has failed to make a mark in either of the teams. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olimpia-c40118 striker is sad with the treatment he received from Cagliari and insisted
that he did not deserve this after spending 8 successful years at the club. The Honduran scored 94 goals in 255 appearances for the Rossoblu before joining the Nerazzurri in 2007.
Catania had a decent 2010/11 Serie A campaign and finished 13th on the league table. New manager, Vincenzo Montella is looking to sign few new players to better last season’s results.
