David Trezeguet has no regrets on his move to Hercules - Serie A news
Former Juventus forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Trezeguet-c10623, has stated that he has no regrets on his move to Hercules in the previous summer despite the side’s disappointing campaign. He revealed that the move has not been the biggest disappointment he has endured in his
footballing career and stated that nothing can come close to the World Cup final loss against Italy in 2006.
The former French International made a shock move to newly promoted Hercules despite reported interest from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. The Valencia-based outfit have struggled throughout the season and are currently sitting in the relegation zone with 33 points.
The Frenchman claimed that his time with Hercules has been far from impressive and admitted that he has not been at his best. He stated that his time with the club has been poor and his performances have not been up to the expectations.
The striker said that the 2006 World Cup final defeat to Italy still remains his biggest disappointment as he will not have the opportunity to win a World Cup again in his career. He insisted that the club will have to win the remaining three games if they
have any chance of surviving, and ending the season on a high.
"[Hercules' season] is one of my biggest disappointments in my career but there is no comparison to losing a World Cup final. It's a disappointment because the expectations set were different, especially on my part. There are still three games left and we
have to take advantage of this and finish the best way possible,” the forward was quoted as saying.
The former Monaco attacker also refused to talk about his future and stated that at this point of time, he is unsure about anything and the decision will be made at the end of the season.
"I do not know [where my future lies], we'll see in due course," he added.
David Trezeguet has scored11 goals so far in his maiden season with Hercules in the 26 appearances he has made. He has 71 international caps to his name and has scored 34 goals for Les Bleus.
