Reports have stated that F.C Barcelona are set to get rid of right-back Dani Alves and striker David Villa at the end of the season.
Since the arrival of new manager Tito Vilanova, David Villa and Dani Alves are featuring less and less for the Catalans, and reports have widely suggested that the duo may be nearing the end of their Barcelona careers.
The Brazilian defender and Spanish striker were a vital part of Pep Guardiola’s system and since his departure; both have found it difficult to settle in to the new system adapted by Tito Vilanova.
A situation motioning the sale of Alves and Villa would be seen as unthinkable in Guardiola’s tenure.
With the increasing competition for the starting line-up of the Blaugrana squad, the duo have managed less minutes than what they would have liked to, and this could be a deciding factor in the prospect of them leaving the Camp Nou club.
Another factor is the top quality players produced by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s youth system and the competition is always believed to increase in the foreseeable future.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629 missed Spain’s successful defending of their Euro crown in summers due to an injury and the country’s all time leading top scorer will be desperate to make it to the La Roja line-up in the 2014 World Cup.
To make it to the squad, Villa will be looking for regular minutes on the pitch and this could make him seek a move elsewhere.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858, he would hate to sit out the prestigious tournament.
Alves is looking to do everything to maintain his starting berth with Brazilian national team and will love to lead his team to glory at the event.
This could also force the defender to demand a move, however Barcelona are coy on keeping hold of their right back.
If reports be believed, January could be the last month that would feature Dani Alves in Barcelona colours.
Some English clubs including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Manchester City are reported to be monitoring the situations of the duo at the Camp Nou outfit and will happily pounce on the opportunity, if presented.
