“I decided to come here for three reasons. I have so many friends here, Guardiola desired for me to come here so much and I always thought my style of play and thinking was more like Barcelona than Real Madrid,” David Villa said
in an interview to the club’s official website.
The former Valencia striker hailed Guardiola and termed him a very important part of the club. Villa revealed that the manager and the teammates have been very helpful to him since his arrival and admired the unity of the team.
He added that the unity amongst the players is a major reason for the success they have achieved so far this season.
“Guardiola is one of the major men here. He decided to come to Valencia and get me. He has been very patient with me. Everyone helps me a lot here. What surprised me most was the team togetherness. Everyday, we do everything together.
