David Villa points out "obvious" difference between Real Madrid and Barcelona
In a recent press conference Barcelona striker David Villa stated his belief that there is an "obvious" difference between his Barcelona side and their chief Spanish rivals, Real Madrid. The chief difference being the results of the La Liga standings over
the last two seasons which has seen the Blaugrana push the once mighty Real Madrid side firmly into second place.
“The difference between Real Madrid and Barcelona is obvious, just look at all the titles that we have won in the past two years." Villa, who came to Barcelona during the summer transfer window, stated.
Clearly with league titles on his mind, Villa mentioned that he is unconcerned by the fact that his Catalan side currently trail rivals Real Madrid in the league standings.
“We are not worried, because there are many points to be won," he said. "When maybe there are four games to go we would be concerned, but now it is not worrying.”
Comparisons between the two sides have been easy to make over the years as both have had periods dominating the league and both have won Champions League success in the last ten years. Both have a star-studded cast of players and both are reknowned
for playing attractive football. What's more, the two sides are bitter rivals each constantly trying goad the other.
Since moving to Barcelona from Valencia over the summer after an impressive World Cup for the Spaniard, his club side currently sit in fourth place on nine points in the league standings and Villa has two goals. Villa won't get a chance to put his
money where his mouth is until the two sides meet on November 28th.
