The veteran wicket-keeper batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in the imminent One Day International (ODI) series,
starting at the Centurion, on Wednesday, October 19, 2011.
Warner came to South Africa after showing a superb recital in the recently-concluded Champions League Twenty20, where his outfit, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-South-Wales-c823, lost the semi-final clash to Royal Challengers
Bangalore.
He however, emerged as the highest run-scorer in the big event with 328 runs, including two back-to-back centuries. Yet, the aggressive opening batsman failed to perpetuate his good run to
the T20 competition against the Proteas, as his great show in CL T20 was followed by two consecutive ducks.
Boucher admitted that Warner will be very desperate to do well after the recent T20 disappointment but elucidated that it will not be an easy task for the attacking opener since he is up against
South Africa’s skilful bowling attack including http://www.senore.com/Cricket/WD-Parnell-c2787.
"I was watching the game in Cape Town and sometimes a run out can be the start of a demise for you. He (Warner) got run out in the first game and out in the second. He is probably desperate
for a bit of form. He's played a lot of T20 cricket and has just come off the Champions League where he did really well, but it's different conditions in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757. He is up against quality opening bowlers in Steyn, Morkel, Parnell,” said Boucher who made
his comeback to the ODI side following http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Allan-Robert-Border-c43726 de Villiers’ omission due to the injury problems.
Despite terming his bowling department as well capable of getting the better of Warner’s class, the South African wicket-keeper conceded that the belligerent batsman will be a huge threat,
as a player of his calibre can regain his form at anytime.
“We know what he can do with the bat, (we've got to try and) stop him from being out there for a long time," added the 34-year-old cricketer who holds an experience of 292 ODIs.
