Jelavic, who arrived at Goodison Park from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 back in January, has played alongside the striker at the Scottish club.
Having seen the duo’s partnership at the Scottish Premier League, Weir believes that Naismith will be able to renew his association with the Toffees goal scoring machine at his new home. He felt that this will serve as an advantage for manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 Moyes
as he readies his attacking front ahead of the next season.
“When they played together they did very well and obviously they can combine… The fact that he can play with Nikica is an obvious benefit though and it's a nice one to have up his sleeve for the manager, I'm sure.”
The striker capped 140 appearances for the Scottish giants over a period of five years and netted 33 goals.
The former Everton skipper opined that Naismith possessed all the traits of a good striker. He observed that the player has got a knack of scoring goals, was particularly dangerous when it comes to playing the ball in the air and puts his heart out on the
field.
The 42-year old also divulged that Moyes came up to him to take his opinion on the Scott’s signing and he responded by backing the club’s decision.
He further added that the striker won’t have any major problems attuning himself to the environment of the Merseyside club, and the senior members of the team will be more than willing to help him during his early days.
“There's a great bunch of lads here, good staff, and there are people here who have been here a long time who will soon let him know what the Club means to people and how important it is.” He added.
