David Wright supports Seth and Sam Levinson as they are investigated by MLB - MLB News
At the time of distress of his agents namely Seth Levinson and Sam Levinson, the New York Mets’ third baseman David Wright stands up for them. He is hopeful that the allegations against Levinson of being mindful when Kirk Radomski provided players the performance
enhancing drugs will be determined to not be true. Wright has clarified that he has known them for years and have hardly ever found them involved in anything which is against the spirit of the game.
Both Seth and Sam Levinson are being scrutinised thoroughly at the moment by Major League Baseball and the Union officials. The questions are being asked to them regarding their involvement in the case of helping players use drugs.
In the process of allegations and investigations, there has emerged another issue which relates to the future of Wright. He is on the verge of signing one of the most expensive contracts in the upcoming off-season. The developments leading to the inking
of the agreement will be dominated by the very agents that are currently under the media spotlight for wrong reasons.
These two agents are supposed to play a major role in helping the third baseman fetch the desired contract. While the Mets have hinted time and again their desire to retain Wright and do not let him invoke the free agency, it remains to be seen whether the
all-star third baseman leaves this club after this season or not.
Wright has reiterated for the time being that he is on the side of his agents. After going through conversations with them and comprehending their contention on the issue, he has decided to keep them as his agents.
"I talked to a few different people from the union and I have to talked to the guys over there (the Levinsons) plenty of times, just to hear their side of the story," Wright said. "They have been great to me. So I think they've been going through a rough
time and I've made my decision that I'm going to be loyal to them."
Within the next couple of days, more information regarding the agents’ possible complicity in the illegal provision of performance enhancing drugs to the players can be expected. Wright will be hoping the investigations are completed as soon as possible.
