David Zabriskie wins the 33.3 kilometre time trial stage of the USA Cycling Professional Road Championships

David Zabriskie of Team Garmin-Barracuda wins the 33.3 kilometre time trial event and after his tremendous performance during the event.
He crossed the finish line in a fastest time of 40 minutes and 41 seconds and occupied the top podium spot.
Tejay Van Garderen of Team BMC finished 6 seconds behind at the second position with his team-mate Brent Bookwalter occupying the second and the third spots.
Thomas Zirbel of Team Optum p/b Kelly Benefit Strategies, Nathaniel English of Team Kenda 5-Hour Energy Cycling Team and Timothy Duggan of Team Liquigas-Cannondale occupied the fourth, the fifth and the sixth positions respectively.
Zabriskie was happy with the first place finish and noted that his bad patch is final over.
He briefed, "I think I've recovered from the Tour of California, I feel good today and I'm hopeful”.
“I haven't had a good result this year due to sickness and bad fitness. I'm ready for a result and to ride to my potential".
"I was too confident in the beginning, but I know with experience to never be too over confident. I know I came through with a good first lap”.
“The second lap, it's not like I didn't try, but in my head (I thought) I was winning and I got complacent,” he concluded.
