Davris Jim to show an impressive act in Lucky Last @ the Cross 570 at Harold’s Cross
The greyhound racing lovers at Harold’s Cross are all set to witness a nail-biting contest, as six superstar hounds meet in the Lucky Last @ the Cross 570 on Friday evening. In search of a handy cash prize worth €250, the participants will look horns in
the 569 yards flat race, scheduled to get started at 22:30 GMT.
Taking part in the race are: Kilcar Lassie, Paradise Gilroy, Davris Jim, Droopys Crumlin, Olympic Gift and Dornaville Becky. Even though the recent stats would be quite helpful in making a prediction, the bettors should make their moves very carefully, as
every contestant holds the ability to spring up a surprise.
Davris Jim looks to be the strongest fellow. The fawn dog is yet to get consistency at this level, but he becomes unbeatable on his lucky day. The son of Jim Joes Up won an open race at Galway in August, when beating Winter Dream by three and a quarter lengths.
It was a surprise victory for Davris Jim, who was carrying the odds of 4 to 1 only. His latest triumph came at the A3 level in late August, when he covered 550 yards in just 30.33 seconds.
The dashing hound was an unlucky loser last time. In an A1 event, he finished fourth behind Forest Sam. He has plenty of scope for improvement, thus one needs to keep an eye on him, when it comes to stake money.
Dornaville Becky looked rusty on her promotion to this level. After winning an A4 event, the black b***h completely lost her rhythm, and finished at bottom of the table last time.
Kilcar Lassie also completed the order of finish on her previous trip. Stepping down from the open level would boost up her confidence to some extent, but still she is not trustworthy today.
Paradise Gilroy is also coming one step down on the grading ladder in search of glory. It would not be an easy task though. Droopys Crumlin is in poor form, and should be overlooked. Similar is the case with Olympic Gift, who was awful on her last two outings.
