Berdyev laments Rubin Kazan’s latest draw against Lokomotiv Moscow and tips the Russian outfit to win the upcoming Russian Premier League tie against Kuban Krasnodar.
The fact that Rubin Kazan failed to win their first two Russian Premier League matches disappoints the head coach, Kurban Berdyev, who has urged his side to alter the situation by winning the upcoming league tie against Kuban Krasnodar.
Rubin kick started the third league round with a 1-1 draw against Spartak Moscow before putting in a poor performance in a goalless draw against Lokomotiv Moscow at Tsentralnyi Stadion, Kazan.
Berdyev has lamented their recent results, admitting that they failed to play to their potential due to lack of confidence and team spirit. There’s little arguing that Rubin are struggling after some key players left in the winter.
Two of their first team strikers, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Igor-Lebedenko-c16722, left the Kazan-based club to join Sibir Novosibirsk and Terek Grozny respectively during the winter transfer window. However they managed to sign Sergei Davydov
from Kuban Krasnodar to fill the void left by the departures.
Davydov, meanwhile, failed to mark his second league appearance for the Russian outfit against Lokomotiv after sustaining a latest injury while training.
Berdyev revealed that the Russian forward felt a calf strain just before the match so he decided not to rush the former Torpedo Moscow player on the pitch.
However, Berdyev assured the fans of his presence for the upcoming crunch home match against the Moscow-based club.
He went on to lament Rubin’s defence and warned the defensive line to prepare hard for the upcoming home game. Speaking on the latest draw, Berdyev revealed that they played better during the first half but failed to play with
the same intensity during the second period.
Berdyev admitted that the Volzhane are lacking the ttacking instinct; however, he revealed that they are working hard to fix the problems. He assured the fans of fighting for a decent spot at the end of the ongoing domestic season.
Currently, Rubin are at the sixth spot on the league table, losing out on the fifth place due to an inferior goal difference.
