Dawid Szulich seizes Men’s 100m breaststroke gold: Day four – Polish LC Championships
Dawid Szulich of Uka Delfin Legionowo seized gold medal of the Men’s 100m breaststroke on fourth day of the Polish Long Course Championships in Olsztyn, Poland on May 15.
Szulich demonstrated his astonishing efforts in the double lap breaststroke discipline and stepped on the victory stand for gold medal.
With his incredible efforts, he stayed comfortably ahead of his challengers from the start and paved his way to the finishing wall for gold medal by clocking a time of 1 minute and 01.82 seconds.
The second position holder was followed by Slawomir Kuczko of AZS AWF Warszawa, who stayed half body length behind and emerged on the finishing wall for producing an effort of 1 minute and 02.33 seconds.
The silver medallist remained almost full body length ahead of Przemyslaw Gorczyca of KS AZS-AWFiS Gdansk, who settled on the medal rostrum for bronze medal by producing a time of 1 minute and 03.14 seconds.
Fourth finest spot of the race was secured by Gorczyca’s team-member, Slawomir Wolniak, who suffered a deficit of just 0.08 seconds from his foregoing finisher and clocked an effort of 1 minute and 03.22 seconds.
Wolniak was followed by Mikolaj SR Machnik of AZS-AWF Katowice, who stayed 0.13 second slower from upsetting his preceding swimmer and clocked a time of 1 minute and 03.35 seconds for fifth position.
Sixth position of the 100m discipline was secured by Mateusz Pacholczyk of MTP Kormoran Olsztyn, who was 0.10 seconds apart and hit the wall with a timing of 1 minute and 03.45 seconds.
Subsequently, Piotr Pucilo of AZS UWM Olsztyn proved his mettle for seventh position of the discipline as he posted a time of 1 minute and 03.64 seconds.
Pucilo was chased by Piotr Safronczyk of MKS Juvenia Bialystok, who stayed 0.11 seconds slower from his preceding swimmer and posted an effort of 1 minute and 03.75 seconds for eighth position of the event.
Szulich was extremely happy with his accomplishment in the breaststroke discipline and aroused expectations of his fans by articulating that he will try to make his county proud at the forthcoming 2012 London Olympic Games.
