The 26-year old Frenchman missed this summer’s European championship with a knee injury but had recovered in time to be included in the Spurs squad that faced Newcastle United on the opening day of the Premier League.
The Frenchman however received a knock that aggravated his knee injury and was ruled out for the next game. Kaboul underwent surgery on his knee recently and is out for four months as he revealed on his official Twitter account.

The player is understood to be an important part of manager Andre Villas-Boas’ plans and is was considered as first choice centre back alongside compatriot William Gallas. Kaboul’s absence from the squad has however paved the way for Belgian centre half
and new signing Jan Vertonghen, who made his competitive debut in the game against West Brom last week.
The news about Kaboul deals a big blow to Tottenham as they are still yet to win a game in the league. Spurs are however adequately stocked in the centre-half department, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jan-Vertonghen-c17814 undoubtedly their first choice pairing.
