Day Trips to Washington DC and/or New York

Can anyone let me know the best way to organise a day trip from philadelphia to Washington DC or New York?

NYC its the best. D.C is full of idiots on capital Hill. I hate it there. NYC the people the night life its the best thing around the weather is perfect. Visit this website.

Go to Chinatown and take the two hour bus ride to New York's Chinatown ($20 roundtrip), then use New York's subway to get anywhere else. I believe they offer a bus similar trip to DC. Their office is on 10th Street near Arch, right by the Wawa.

I would take the train. It's the fastest and easiest way to get to either city. There is a day pass for $67 that will get you into several attractions in NYC, but I wouldn't bother unless you are a very agressive tourist.
