I assume because the judge is a bloke he was not as easily chatted around to Day's way of thinking in the way the many women in his life were!!!!

But when I read his pleading it makes me feel a bit sorry for him and the kids....... he is such a great b*llsh*tter I guess!!!!

  1. My best friend was killed by a drink driver and the killer only got four months in jail plus a ban for eighteen months. Day should get a lifetime ban from driving and he should go to jail. Drink driving should not be tolerated under any circumstance, there is no excuse. Celebrities annoy me because they think they are above the law until they ruin someone else's life. Thanks to some sick drink driver, I'll never see my friend get married, finish his nurse training or go on to have children with his fiance. That was taken away from him and the drink driver had the cheek to blame him for it!

Please for the sake of other potential victims, let's put zero tolerance on this crime and celebs or celebs, they are not infallible either!

  2. He says that he never gets behind the wheel of a car when he has had too much alcohol? Sorry but the fact that he is court on a charge of drink driving proves this to be wrong. Also if he relies on his car for his job then he should have had more sense and done more to protect his license by not drink driving.

I'm sick of hearing celebrities when caught claiming they need their cars for their jobs or that their charity work will suffer if they loose their licenses.

  3. String him up by his testicles for his unanswered crimes against acting and music.

  4. Yes the judge was right, and the next time it should be a lifetime ban.

  5. It was in everyone's best interest that Day was banned from driving for 18 months, I live near him and I'm relieved there is one more drink driver off the roads, no matter how famous he may or may not be.

  6. There is never any excuse to drink drive.  He should have just pleaded guilty rather than make excuses and at least look a bit like he was taking responsibility for his actions.

  7. yes.

  8. what a prick, if he cared about his kids he wouldnt shag women and then dump them when they got pregnant, shame he didnt ban him from singing and performing, now that i would have liked to see lol x

  9. I would have banned him longer and fined him more. he is a sleazy b*****d who think's that he can get away with it because of who he is. Swearing on his childrens lives was particularly disgusting

  10. If you cant do the time, dont do the crime.

  11. Anything that keeps Darren Day at home and away from the good women of this country is fine by me. They should have also hidden his shoes!

  12. Anybody who drinks and drives should lose their licence in my opinion.

It is a heinous crime with often horrific consequences.

A car is a deadly weapon, there should be complete cultural intolerance of drinking and driving.

And a s for Darren Day "Mr. Love Rat extraordinaire" responsible is the hardly the word that springs to mind.

And just to continue my rant people who swear "on their children´s" lives get on my wick. I think it´s  a vile thing to say.

  13. If the courts were stupid enough to fall for a sob story like that then everyone would be doing it.

  14. There is an old saying--"you are what you do ".Everyone has to pay when they get caught,it,s no good moaning over it,you have to learn to take your lumps.

  15. Well, he was guilty and a faketan, a set of streaks in your hair and a string of celebrity break-ups doesn't make you immune. He's such a to$$er, nobody really cares.

  16. Serves the t**t right.

  17. If the judge had done anything different people would have had more to say.

  18. Banned him for 18 months is that all? he got of lightly should have been much longer.

  19. Anyone who gets behind the wheel of a car after drinking is stupid, thoughtless, gutless and a menace to everyone else on the road or pavement.

A good actor he may/or may not be but he did turn it on for the benefit of the court. Thank goodness this time justice has triumphed.

However, it should be remembered that everyone's attitude to driving after drinking should change.  It seems people are 'afraid to be over the limit' when it should be 'I really don't want my judgement and actions affected by alcohol' instead.
