I plan to fly to Australia from Heathrow in February next year but what would be the best time of day to fly to avoid jetlag etc..?

I have 2 choices:

Depart London Emirates 2

Economy | Airbus A380

6hr 45min

13:45 Heathrow airport (LHR)

Stop 1 Dubai

00:30 Dubai Int'l (DXB)

Change planes. Layover: 2hr 0min

Depart Dubai Emirates 408

Economy | Airbus A345

13hr 25min

02:30 Dubai Int'l (DXB)

Arrive Melbourne, Victoria

22:55 Tullamarine airport (MEL) (MEL)

  1. Nighttime flight or you'll arrive when its pretty hot,and its no fun being hot and bothered waiting for your luggage.


  2. which ever way you go your going to be tired,

    id go the first option ive done this flight lots mate, you will get here in time to have a few beers and go to bed. giving you a chance to reset your body clock, if you arrive at 6 in the morning youll be longing for bed and this will only make the jetlag worse. inside the terminal id go to boots and get some sleeping drugs and try and get some shut eye, just leave the leftover drugs on the plane
