Day trips in the uk?

i want to take my boyfriend and my son away for the weekend where in the uk is a nice place just for the weekend? my son is only 5 months old

the lake district - it's beautiful, though i guess it depends on what sort of places you like it's very relaxed around there

London is good for sigthseeing. Or any costal places. Cornwall. Blackpool etc

cleethorpes is quite good. last time i went, it was like your classic beach.

LLandudno in north wales is nice, not too rowdy! There is a beach where you can take your son and a nice pier! Myself and my son have been going there for years for a day trip but it's only 40 miles down the road for us, I also believe that Tenby is a nice place but have never been, hope this helps.

london - you can go to the london eye and the london aquarium and there are lots of child playgrounds and parks to sit and have a picnic in also there are a number of hotels going up to 5 stars
