of five matches were played at the Helix Theatre, in Dublin, Ireland.
Martin Gould vs Jamie Jones
Jamie Jones and Martin Gould started the day with their best-of-seven frames, first round match. Gould dominated the whole game whitewashing Jones 4-0 with a sensational potting display from the very first frame which he took 72-10 firing only two impressive
breaks of 22 and 50, respectively. The 29-year-old Englishman took the scrappy second 59-16, hitting a 41 beautifully before he pocketed a banging century break of 106 to clinch the third frame 106-20, gaining a 3-0 lead in the match.
The 23-year-old Welshman had not a single chance to capitalise the fury of the Pinner Potter, as he was throttled in the fourth and the last frame of the match when Gould grabbed a comprehensive frame win at 99-24, after building a classy break of 42. Gould
faces Judd Trump in his second-round match.
Andrew Higginson vs Jack Lisowski
Youngster, Jack Lisowski gave a tough time to veteran, Steve Davis in the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship 2011 qualifiers losing to him 8-9, but he could not add more than one frame to his side in the PartyCasino.com PTC 2010-11 Grand Final against
Andrew Higginson.
A century break of 128 from Higginson in the very first frame shook the youngster when he got beaten 136-0, but somehow he gathered some energy and sprang back into the game in the second frame clicking it 64-66, after a tough defence from the 33-year-old
Higginson. The Welsh Open 2007 runner-up swept the table in the next three frames cueing breaks of 43, 48 and 32, respectively. Higginson will meet the PTC Event 2 winner, Mark Selby, in the last-16.
Shaun Murphy vs Ricky Walden
The first match of PartyCasino.com PTC 2010-11 Grand Final round two was played between Shaun Murphy and Ricky Walden. The UK Championship 2008 winner, Murphy surprised the Shanghai Masters 2008 champion, Walden, when he took three consecutive frames 72-9,

The fifth frame took a while to end as both players tussled during the game but finally Walden won it 47-68, followed by Murphy grabbing the sixth potting a rattling 44 break to surge into the quarter-final against Stephen Lee or Mark Davis.
Matthew Stevens vs Dominic Dale
The match between Matthew Stevens and Dominic Dale was a topsy-turvy affair. Both players faced each other in the PTC event five and six and Dale was victorious both times but in the match played on Thursday, Stevens ended the hopes of Dale for the quarter-final
spot after winning the match 4-1.
Stevens smashed a break of 93 to lead 1-0 before Dale bounced back making his mark in the scrappy second pocketing a break of 46 to equalise 1-1. Stevens easily grabbed the next three frames to ensure his spot in the quarter-final of PartyCasino.com PTC
2010-11 Grand Final.
Mark Williams vs Anthony Hamilton
The most stunning and outclass play was seen in the match between the Welsh Potting Machine and PTC Event 1 winner, Mark Williams and Euro PTC Event 1 runner-up, Anthony Hamilton of England. The 35-year-old Welshman showed the extraordinary potting skills
he is famous for, building comprehensive breaks during the match.
