Daycare Director Salary?

What is the salary range for a Director or Assistant Director of a daycare (ex. La Petite)? Any ideas? Thanks.

Depends.... if they're NAEYC (national association for the education of young children) accredited, they make the most.  Average around here is $25,000- $35,000... unless they're really rich!

when i worked for lpa as a director i earned 35.000 my first year.  this was in st. louis, mo.  it may vary state to state.  and now that they are owned by lcg they may have a different pay scale.  i was only at lpa a year though.  hated it.

That is about right unless you work as a director at a child care center at a university or a community college.  I have seen an asst. director position at such a facility go for $45,000 but you have to have a BA in early childhoodand the hours were from 12pm - 9pm
