Daycare/Learning center in San Antonio Texas for odd hours and weekends?

I am avidly seeking a daycare/learning center in San Antonio Texas for my 19 month old son. He will need care for 8-10 weeks, M-F 8am-5pm and after the 8-10 weeks my schedule will be Tues-Sat 4am-2pm. If anyone knows ANY outlets for me to contact please let me know because I am starting my new job 2/11/2008 and I need to place him in a center quickly. Mature and genuine responses only please. Thank you!

  1. Try Childtime Learning Centers.  Both of my children are teens now, so I can no longer speak for any of the facilities, but we used to use one of the centers in Northwest SA.  They have Day care hours 6:30 to 6:30, but they also had after hours and weekend child care when we used them and often used them instead of a sitter.

  2. I highly doubt that you will find a center with those hours.  I would look into a home daycare, but it will be incredibly difficult to find someone willing to work before four in the morning.

  3. Try your local hospitals. They sometimes have on-site day cares that are open to meet the needs of the many shift workers. Contact your local Child  Care Resource and Referral Agency. They may have a list of programs that offer non-traditional hours. Aside from the hospitals you are more likely to find a Family Day Care home than a Center.
