I was wondering where you live and how much you pay for daycare per week? My 6 1/2 month old has never been to daycare since I have family that has helped watch her, but now that school is starting I need to try to find out how much is average for full time daycare. Thanks for all help!

  1. We pay $150 a week for our 5 year old son, I stay at home with my younger daughter. My daughter is 16 months and if she were to go, it would be $256.

    I live in KCMO area

  2. My daughter goes to daycare in cierco, NY (upstate ny, not nyc no where close!)

It is $180 a week for an infant, and goes down to about $80 a week for when she will be going to school. Its not considered a daycare, she is a lisenced babysitter.(her basement looks like a daycare center and I love her so far!)  I suggest talking to social services they can give you a list of all lisenced sitters or daycare centers in your area/county.

Usually lisenced centers and sitters are a little more expensive but because they are liseneced you can get a backround check on them and the state usually keeps an eye on them. I found them more secure! If they are lisenced also, you can write them off on your taxes!

  3. I live in suburban Philly and it costs $230/week full time at an academy day care center

  4. I live in woobury MN . i used to pay 200 a week full time  and it is a home daycare also .

  5. I live in Raleigh, NC and pay $242 per week.

  6. My 5 month old is in a Church daycare in Indianapolis, IN, cost is $175 week.

  7. We pay $270 a week in CA for a school type daycare. We could find cheaper with these people with daycare services they run out of their home, but we didn't feel comfortable with any we toured. We found some to be operated in homes that weren't clean as they could be, kids crying and unattended, large dogs outside the homes or just odd people running these services. Whatever you do, make sure your child is safe and just because a daycare is low cost and licensed, doesn't mean it's safe. If you get any type of bad feeling, walk away when touring these home daycares. I'[m sure some are wonderful, but with weeks of looking, we never found one. I would highly suggest a church or professional business daycare center. Nothing is more important than safety and well being of your child.

I would look for a clean center with good refferences and plenty of staff that look like they enjoy being with kids and also one with good security, where people just can't walk-in, they must talk with someone at a front desk first. My personal prefference also, no male employees. It's not PC or fair, but when it comes to my kids, I don't really care about being PC. I want them in a safest center possible.

  8. I live in the suburbs in the southeast usa...we pay $135 a week.

  9. I live in Pawtucket, RI

And it costs 150 per week

And it is a home daycare..I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

  10. I live in cobleskill, ny and have daycare at albany, ny and its 195 per week. I like it but its soooo expensive. My daughter is a year. If your best friend uses that daycare and likes it than your set. That is true for all daycares, no matter if they are home or not. :)

  11. I live in New Jersey and we pay 210 a week its an Academy
