Daycare director in KY: Nationally Accredited degree college -OR- Regionally Accredited degree college ?

Question

I live in KENTUCKY.

I am going to school for EARLY CHILD EDUCATION

Does Kentucky allow a "NATIONALLY ACCREDITED college", or what may be called a DETC (Distance Education and Training Council accredited)..

-OR-

Does education for schooling the young have to be from a College who is a "REGIONALLY ACCREDITED" only?

I can't find information on the internet at all.

Also, if anyones has any WEBSITES for me to referance to, that would be great...

There has to be some teacher or daycare director out there that knows what i am talking about.
