I've been doing exempt daycare for 3 children(all in the same family)for almost ayear now and am finally going to take the steps to get certified with the state of oregon to do daycare. Just wondering for you out there that have had the inhome inspection what are they looking for indoors/outdoors. Also does the inspector just show up or is there an appointment made?

  1. You have to get certified by going to a CPR Class, and going to 2 different classes on child abuse and neglect. Then a class that tells you what the Daycare certified stuff is all about. You have to have a Food Handlers card up to date, and then they set up a appotment to see your home and tell you what needs to be done, but it would be wise to do everything before hand. Go to your local HR. Dept. they will tell you where to go and what you need to do.
