Approx what time does the sun rise and set in the UK in Sept? We are visiting from Australia and have heard that there is a twilight in the UK but not sure what part of the year that is. We will be mainly in the Cotswolds area. Also (silly question) but what will the weather be like?

  1. it the same all over the country its about 5 30 is it sets and 7 ish rise where i live

  2. Sunrise about 6am, sunset about 8pm, in the Cotswolds, in September.

    The weather will be mixed.

  3. Sets about 6.0 to 6.30 pm, rises about 6.0ish. Depends when in the month as the days are getting shorter by 1-2 mins per evening at that time. Twilight is the time of day after the sun sets but it is still lightish due to the sun shining from below the horizon. it happens every day of the year. How long really depends on the weather, shorter if it is raining or overcast with cloud. Weather then? Can be lovely, sunny and mild, (15-20c) or can be very rainy - be prepared for both as it is very variable. Hope you have a great time. September can be very nice if you are lucky.

  4. You can get all the info you need from timeanddate.com

  5. There's always a twilight! It just happens at different times of the year depending on the season.  In September daylight hours are about 7am - 7pm. Twighlight's about 7pm ish.

Weather?? God knows.  You can be lucky in September and get v warm, you could equally get hail stones, blustery wind and rain and it could be about 11 degrees C!  There's no way of telling. If you go for 2 weeks, you should at least get a day or two of nice weather - though not guarranteed.

    Cotswolds are nice though.

  6. In September I think the sun rises at about 7-8am, but I am not at all sure. Also in September the sun goes down early. September weather is normally cold, windy, rain. But you get the odd ray of sunshine.

  7. Around 21st Sept. is the Autumn equinox with equal time for day and night. It will be fully light from about 7am-7pm.

Sorry to disappoint you, but there's no twilight zone in Britain we're not that far north, someone is winding you up bigtime!

Sept. weather is usually lovely with some hot days and lots of sunshine, but be prepared for variable weather, for some reason whenever we visit Gloucester it rains - but the cotswolds are so beautiful, you won't notice, no such thing as bad weather - just the wrong clothes.

Hope you'll have a lovely time on your visit.

  8. 14 hours daylight here in U.K.in September,05-19.00.

    Nice warm month.

    The Cotswolds are beautifull.

  9. About 1900hrs. it will probably be raining. It does that a lot in the UK.
