Days out in Glasgow or there abouts?

Its to be raining this weekend and me and ma pal are looking for a cheap dat out, any ideas??????

  1. try a whistle stop tour of the Galleries & Museums(free), the city tour bus will be of great help.(all day ticket) a day-out dont come much cheaper than that!


  2. Yeah, the galleries make a great day out and don't cost a penny. There's the art galleries and the transport museum in Kelvingrove, the Gallery of Modern Art in Royal Exchange Square and there's also The Lighthouse in Mitchell Lane which is a wee hidden gem. It's full of interesting things and if you go right up to the top, you get a great view of the whole city.

    All these things are free.

    The MItchell Libraries in Charing Cross are also worth a look. Plus, there's the water taxi down the Clyde - it's not free, but it's pretty cheap.
