The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam midfielder has expressed optimism ahead of his side’s upcoming Premier League fixture, but has urged his teammates to put in their 100 percent if they are to claim a good result.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 at Anfield on Sunday,
February 17.
The 25-year-old has admitted that it will be great for his side if they manage to claim a good result at Anfield while adding that it will not be an easy task to dismantle the Reds in front of their home crowd.
“It would be great to get that win and claim some points up there because we had a great win up there earlier in the season. But we cannot underestimate them. It will be a very different game, they've been playing well and played some great football if not
always with the results. But it's a game we're looking forward to”, De Guzman was quoted as saying to the media.
The Swans are currently sitting seventh in the Premier League standings, a mammoth 11 points behind the last UEFA Champions League berth spot, which is occupied by Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Feyenoord Rotterdam midfield ace, who will be returning to Villarreal after the end of the 2012/13 season, went on to insist that he wants to make his stay at Liberty Stadium permanent.
“It's going well, I can't complain. I'm a happy camper and very grateful for the opportunities I'm getting. I don't want this to end, I'm enjoying my football and want that to last as long as it can”, De Guzman concluded.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup, the Swans head coach, has also earlier expressed his desire to retain the services of the Dutch international, who recently made his debut for the Oranje under the leadership of Louis van Gaal, on a permanent basis.
De Guzman’s contract at Villarreal runs until the summer of 2016, but it seems likely that the Canadian-born Dutch footballer will continue plying his trade at Liberty Stadium.
