Manchester City’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nigel-de-Jong-c27882 has gone on to issue a warning to Manchester United and has insisted that the Blue side of Manchester is going to fight for their lives to win the Premier League title this season.
Last weekend, there was a dramatic shift in the title race, as both the teams from Manchester went into their games looking to come out on top.
However, following the conclusion of the games, City went on to lose their match and United went on to win their game.
As a result, United went on to take a one point lead at the top of the table, with City dropping down into the second spot.
With City set to have a much tougher run of fixtures from here on, many believe that United could just end up sneaking the title from under City’s nose.
Despite that fact, City are determined to go toe to toe with their opponents and are not looking to give up hope just yet.
The team believes that they could be in a favourable position to win the title at the end of the season, should they avoid dropping any more points and if they beat the Red Devils in their upcoming game on the 30th of April.
Nigel De Jong, who has proven to be one of the most determined players in the City squad this season, has gone on to state that his team won’t go down without a fight.
The Dutch international is quoted to have said: “We don’t fear the momentum is with United. We don’t have any fear. Over the last 12 days or so we’ve been in a moment where things haven’t been as easy as they were at the start of the season.”
“The next 10 games are cup finals because we have only the League now.”
It is now up to City to prove their worth and go on and put on some of the best performances of their lives.
