  1. I know DLH has been training hard and is a good overall fighter and better in his career

I thought De La Hoya will destroy Forbes up until today...I think Forbes will win this one..idk i just have a feeling he will

and if Forbes win..itll be more likely that Mayweather will fight Cotto

i was thinking if DLH won it'd be a fight like Cotto vs Gomez....but I'm starting to think Forbes will win after watching videos of him. The only bad thing about Forbes is that most of his fights were decisions, and few were KOs..but at least he has enough stamina to last long..DLH is old

  2. the steve forbes i know was a presidential contender but im still going with Forbes cuz the goldenboys ********* is a facade to hide the fear he feels when he knows he has to face the almighty Steve Forbes!!!!

  3. yup de la hoya vs mayweather rematch, catch it all live on http://livetvnetwork.net

  4. Im a big De La Hoya fan and have been since he started his career but i am starting to believe he is definitely on the slide. I have got to say that not being able to pin down Forbes doesnt stand him in good stead for the rematch with Mayweather, i suppose ring rust may come into it as Oscar doesnt keep himself busy nowadays but i still think that even though Forbes looked to have a solid defence and looked very cagey i would still of expected Oscar to have connected with some cleaner shots, oscar won virtually every round by outworking Forbes but probably took as good many clean shots back as he landed he just dont look the same fighter as he was a few years ago. I would much rather see Cotto in with Floyd than a rematch, as people have said 10 years ago Oscar would be more than a handful for Floyd but now another 18 months on from the first fight is it becoming a foregone conclusion as to what the result will be, i mean its going to be difficult for Oscar to improve with time and Floyd is in his prime as far as age goes for a boxer.

  5. Not a thing, Oscar can loose this fight & still sell the common idiot a pay per-view fight with Mayweather. This isn't anything more then Oscar trying to secure the future of GBP. Oscar should stop Stevie but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't.

Oscar has fought at 154 lbs or higher since 2001, that has been the lightest he has been. Forbes when on the pretender series fought at a career high 149 pounds. He was to small on that show he is usually 142 at max. But being that Oscar didn't want a series test he chose a gimme. Anyone who believes that Steve has a chance probably also thought Alfonzo Gomez had a chance against Cotto.
