Watched the fight last night and as usual before was an interview, during this interview fotoage was shown of Oscar working out..he had a hairy chest!

During last night's fight I noticed the hair was gone..why?

Personally I think he looked better with the hair, but now that I think about it I don't recall seeing many boxers with hairy chest's..is there any reason for this??

  1. I just think it's a comfort thing. With a hairy chest, the hairs will stick to you when you get sweaty (and you will in a fight). Also, the hairs may create unwanted friction if you receive grazing shots to the body. Having your body hairs pulled is no fun.

... or maybe it's just because he thinks it makes him look more ripped and dangerous?

  2. maybe either they dont have hair on the chest or either they shave prior to fights idk really good question..... i mean who wants to see a hair chested man sweaty boxing maybe its a requirement but idk but i remeber seeing rocky marciano and he had a really hair chest so not sure

    thanks

  3. Most fighters shave their chests so that when they get hit in the body the hair doesnt get ripped out when it sticks to the leather of the gloves.
