Has their been any announcements as to who de la hoya will fight in his 3rd and final fight?, has he said anything about it? i would like to see him fight Cotto, but i doubt that fight will happen, i would rather see Cotto - Mayweather, but mayweathers punk *** is avoiding it, instead he wants to go and fight DLH again which is sum BS...so hopefully DLH - Cotto happens

  1. Currently there is no scheduled fight for Oscar after the Mayweather fight but he has to fight Forbes first. There has been talk of Oscar's last fight potentially vs Miguel Cotto but it is not signed yet due to Oscar already scheduled for 2 upcoming fights.

  2. he might fight cotto, everyone says he is afraid like mayweather but for a guy who has fought the best at junior lightweight, lightweight, junior welterweight, welterweight, junior middleweight, and middleweight, cotto is just another notch in the bed post, but oscar is near retirement and his last fight will be a safe one, i think alfonso gomez, no punch, and just go annihilated by cotto, gomez is the perfect light punching yet tough fighter to make oscar's last fight memorable, yet easy

  3. ?

  4. Naa he's doomed on this one believe me.

  5. Don't rule out the Miguel Cotto fight.  I'm skeptical about it acually happening, but Oscar has been quoted as saying that he would be interested in fighting him for his final fight.  Here is the quote:

"You can never count anyone out. You can't scratch anyone off the list.  If I beat the best in the world in Floyd Jr., you have to continue that streak. Obviously, my following fight has to be with one of the best, and it's no secret that Miguel Cotto is considered one of the best in the world. He has a difficult fight with [Antonio] Margarito [scheduled for July 26] and anything can happen there, but we all know that Miguel Cotto is going to win.

"I don't need to fight Cotto, but obviously my last fight cannot be against an easy opponent. It's going to be against one of the best, and after Mayweather, the next one is Cotto, who is a boxer that always wants to fight the best in the world."

It has also been rumored that his final fight could be against Manny Pacquiao, or Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr.  But that would go against Oscar's statement of not wanting to go out against an easy opponent.  I mean, lets face it- Pacquiao is good, but way too small, and Chavez, Jr. is no where near ready in my opinion.  I would like to see the Cotto fight even if he loses to Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in their rematch.

  6. IDK

  7. i dont think de la hoya can handle cotto and wouldnt want that blemish on his record.  i am looking forward to the margarito-cotto fight, that should be exciting, even though margarito dropped that fight to p dub last year.  i couldnt agree with you more on mayweather, the guy talks a lot in the pre-fight, but runs the whole fight.  mayweather knows there is no way in h**l that he could keep cotto off of him.  so he is trying to protect his career.  i feel he is the roy jones of the lighter divisions, meaning, who has he fought?  he knocked out a weight drained corrales, beat up on lil ricky hatton, who let me down so d**n much, besides those 2, i cant say he has anything under his belt to say he is as great as he thinks he is.  super zab judah almost had mayweather, and would have won if he didnt burn out and resort to dirty tactics.  but i feel de la hoya thinks he will beat mayweather the second time, and that will have people calling for a trilogy.  so thats why i think he said he will fight 3 times.

    edit:

yeah, that thumb down made sense. [sarcasm, my second language]

  8. I think Daisy de la hoya will win

  9. no none still
