The Partenopei chief has revealed his plans to build a new stadium for his club, and has stated that he will soon meet with the city mayor to pitch his plans for the venue.
Aurelio De Laurentiis has announced his mission to bring Napoli at par with Real Madrid and Barcelona, and has revealed that the first step to the journey will be taken by building a new stadium for the club.
The Italian film producer has successfully overturned the failing fortunes of the club since acquiring the establishment back in 2004, and the team has since climbed the ladders to UEFA Champions League appearances in their last season, that also saw them
win the Coppa Italia.
However, the President has aims for the sky, and believes building a new stadium will be the key to taking the club to the next level.
De Laurentiis revealed that he aims at bringing the club to the structural prowess of Real Madrid and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, and insisted that he will soon be taking steps to ensure the progress.
The Partenopei chief stated that he plans on having a new stadium for his club, and insisted that he will soon meet with the city mayor to discuss details about how to make it happen.
While talking to the press, the patron of the Naples outfit said:
"On a structural level, I would like to be able to drag the club on a par with Real Madrid and Barcelona. I had the chance to speak with mayor [Luigi] De Magistriis, whom I will meet [again] on Friday: We will discuss the stadium, [and] the necessary and
desirable course of action."
De Laurentiis went on to state that he is disappointed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 had to leave the club, but maintained that he had made a promise with the attacker, and he had to keep it under all circumstances.
"It was fair: he had asked to leave a year ago to leave; I made a promise to him. We met on a boat, it was a frank chat; sincere. He behaved well. He felt within himself the need [to leave].”
De Laurentiis expressed his hope that someday he will see Lavezzi return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
