De Rossi concerned about Roma future and predicting a tough Derby de Capitale: Serie A news
A.S http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112, is extremely concerned about the future of his club rather than then his personal contract.
The Italian international is in the last year of his contract at the Stadio Olimpico Rome and has still not agreed an extension to it. De Rossi’s future at Roma is under dark cloud as several clubs are preparing a move to tempt
him.
The midfielder is playing a waiting game and revealed a few days back that his agent and the club are close to reaching over an agreement. However, the Italian expressed his love for the Giallorossi and insists that Roma’s future
is more important to him and not his personal deal. The 28-year-old admitted that he might leave the club if they ask him to do so.
De Rossi is highly impressed with the club’s new philosophy and believes that the future is very bright at Rome.
While talking to the reporters, De Rossi said, “Regardless of what happens with my contract and my future, the most important thing is the future of Roma. Who knows, they might save the money from my contract and spend it on improving
the squad. I see good things moving in the club and that bodes well for the future of the Giallorossi.”
The Italian international is eagerly looking forward to the Rome derby but admitted that he is not feeling as strongly as he used to do in his early days. De Rossi admitted that he had sleepless nights before the match against
Lazio in his boyhood days and it also affected his performances on the field.
“I do feel the derby very strongly. It’s true that in the past, when I was young, I didn’t sleep the night before and as a result never had a good performance. I am calmer now.”
De Rossi has spent more than 10 years at Rome and has made more than 350 appearances for the club. Roma and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 will lock horns in a Serie A encounter at the Stadio Olimpico Rome on Sunday, October 16th, 2011.
