De Zeeuw denies making a permanent move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/RSC-Anderlecht-c40394 from Spartak Moscow – Football News
Spartak Moscow attacker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demy-de-Zeeuw-c10825, has denied the information that Spartak Moscow has reached an agreement with Belgian Pro League club RSC Anderlecht to make his move permanent.
“Reports on the Internet about the agreement between Anderlecht and Spartak with respect to my permanent transfer are completely wrong. There is no truth behind these rumours. I feel at home at Anderlecht and I think the fans love
me. I got a warm reception from them when I came here. Now, I want to stay here for at least another season. But I have a valid contract with the Russian outfit and they will determine my fate in the end,” the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar player was quoted as saying.
The 30-year-old Dutch International, who managed to score just two goals in 12 league appearances for Anderlecht, spent the last six months out on loan at the Brussels-based outfit after Valery Karpin returned to the managerial
hot seat.
De Zeeuw was originally signed by former coach Unai Emery, who parted company with the Moscow-based club after unsatisfactory results last winter. The Spanish coach made way for Karpin to return at the helm after joining Sevilla
FC.
However, Karpin preferred to keep Rafael Carioca, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kim-c20955 Kallstrom and Jose Jurado after sending De Zeeuw on a six-month loan spell at Anderlecht. It looks like Karpin wants to cash in on the player for whom Spartak paid seven million
Euros one back in 2011.
Reports in Russian media suggested that the Belgians have made a proposal to make De Zeeuw’s deal permanent after the player himself expressed a desire to play for the Belgian outfit next season.
“We are ready to make De Zeeuw an offer but it depends if the player wants to stay,” Anderlecht’s general director,
Herman Van Holsbeeck, concluded.
If speculations are to be believed, Emery wants to re-sign the midfielder, who joined Spartak from Ajax Amsterdam, after offering him an escape route towards Spain. However, Sevilla can hardly pay the amount quoted by Spartak given
their financial crisis.
De Zeeuw went on to admit that his future entirely depends on the club’s will to release him.
