Dutch striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luuk-de-Jong-c22956, revealed that he has been approached by many clubs but he favours a move to Lucien Favre’s Borussia Monchengladbach.
The youngster was in sensational form last season for Steve McClaren’s side. He scored 32 goals from 50 appearances for his club, and was Eredivisie’s second top scorer behind Wolfsburg’s latest acquisition, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bas-Dost-c7339.
His fine form in the Dutch league encouraged Lucien Favre to make an approach for the tricky forward. After losing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733, their top scorer to the Bundesliga Champions Borussia Dortmund, Gladbach are determined to bring in
a new striker. The Foals require a striker who can share the goal-scoring burden with other forward players.
The Foals’ tactician is thought to be actively pursuing the youngster’s signature who has around seven appearances for his country.
De Jong himself revealed that he has spoken to Borussia’s 54-year old manager a few times regarding a possible move to the Bundesliga club. The Twente player insists that the Swiss manager wants him to play for the Foals, and he
reckons the clubs philosophy and style of football suit him really well.
"I have spoken to Favre several times. We talked about how he wanted me to play. I'm sure his philosophy fits perfectly with the fast game that suits me,” De Jong is quoted as saying in an interview.
The Dutchman revealed that he informed his current club about his preferred option. He insists that playing in the UEFA Champions League with Borussia Monchengladbach will take his career to the next level.
"I've told Twente that I only want to go to Gladbach. Borussia are playing in the qualifying round of the Champions League, and it's best for me to take the next step in my career,” he added.
The 21-year old knows that the Bundesliga is one of the best leagues in Europe and playing there will help him become a complete player and hence being a regular with the Dutch team.

With the addition of De Jong to their squad, Borussia Monchengladbach will surely be a force to be reckoned next season.
