Real Sociedad have registered their first away win of the season after winning 2-1 against Malaga CF on Saturday
The Basque based club has not had a bright start to the season. Although they are decent at home, it is the away games that have been their thumbscrew so far this season.
The club’s loyal fans have been frustrated by this fact since they have higher expectations of the team this time around.
Sociedad defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-c4309 de la Bella, has come out and admitted that the fans have the right to expect more their club.
De la Bella has stated the team is in this position because of what they have done so far. He also said that slowly but surely things will improve. The sweeper added that they are a better side than they have shown so far this
season and understands the frustrations felt by the fans.
“In the end, you are where you deserve to be in the table. We will go step by step, thinking of Rayo Vallecano next weekend, then we'll see, although it is true that the fans could ask for more as we are a better team than we have
showed this season.”
The left-back admitted that his team needed this win desperately and is happy that they have finally broken the club’s drought on the road.
“The team needed a game like this, to break the dynamic.”
Moreover, the 26-year-old also reflected on the away win over Malaga. He revealed that it was not the best of their games. However, he looked at the bright and has stated that it is the result that matters the most.
“I don't think it was the best game we've played away from home, but it's the details that count, and we conceded only one goal, not two, like we have been doing lately.”
Finally, the Spaniard also talked about his current form, his rivalry with fellow defender, Jose Angel, and his inclusion in the starting XI.
“I am very happy and the competition with Jose Angel is doing me good.”
Real Sociedad are currently above the drop zone as they sit on the 13th position with 13 points.
