DeMar DeRozan leads as Toronto Raptors defeat Orlando Magic 97-86: NBA Recap
Toronto Raptors beat the Orlando Magic 97-86 here at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday afternoon, their second home win of the season.  
DeMar DeRozan was red hot as he scored a game high 20 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Jose Calderon posted 9 points and dished out 18 assists, Andrea Bargnani had 17 points while Amir Johnson came off the bench to add 15 points
for the Raps.
Glen Davis scored a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, Arron Afflalo had 15 points while E’Twaun Moore chipped in with 16 points for the Magic.
Raptors led for most of the first half and had an 8 point advantage by halftime. Magic came back into the game in the third period when they outscored the Raptors by 10 to reclaim the lead for the first time since the first quarter.
But it was all Raptors in the final period as they blew away Magic chances with a strong finish to win comfortably in the end.
An Afflalo jumper put the Magic up 6-4 early in the first period and the score was tied at 8 after a Nikola Vucevic layup for the Magic. The Raptors sprung into action with a quick 10-0 run to claim the lead in style, going up
18-8. Later on, DeRozan fired one in from downtown as the Raptors pushed their lead to 25-13.
They extended their advantage to 32-19 after a DeRozan layup before Moore knocked down a three pointer in the final minute of the period to reduce the deficit down to 22-32.
A Gustavo Ayon layup in the early goings of the second period left the Magic trailing by 27-36.  Glen Davis made a hook shot to slash the deficit down to 31-38 around the halfway mark. He scored another deuce to make it a 5 point
game at 35-40. before the Raptors went for a 7-0 spree to go up 47-35. But Magic were close on their heels as they reduced the deficit down to 41-49 by the end of the period.
Magic started the second half strongly and a Dequan Jones layup made it a 2 point game at 49-51 early . A Dominic McGuire layup put the Raptors up 57-52. But the pressure was on the Raptors as Magic kept slashing their advantage
steadily and a Davis hook shot made it 58-61. The score was tied at 65 before Magic went ahead with a Jameer Nelson layup. Orlando carried a two point advantage into the final period.
The score was tied at 73 early in the final period before the Raptors started pulling ahead and two back to back three pointers had them up 79-74. It was still a 5 point game at 83-78 when Raptors went on rampage with a 9 for none
scoring spree that put them in control of the game at 92-78, with only 2:50 minute to go. They eventually closed out the game at 97-86.
