Dead Island reigns supreme; Zumba Fitness Kinect climbs the Xbox 360 Charts
Another week in United Kingdom’s video game industry has gone by and sales figures for the Xbox 360 games are in. Be it misguided nostalgia, or the Downloadable Content Pack, it seems United Kingdom has taken to Duke Nukem Forever, as the game climbs back
into the Top 10. It seems there are a fair number of gamers who ‘hail to the king’.
The phenomenon that shocked the gaming world with its unprecedented success in the overall Video Game charts for well over eight weeks, Zumba Fitness has made its way into the Xbox 360 charts as well. This time with full Microsoft Kinect compatibility, the
game is set to reach the more hardcore gaming demographic, who surprisingly seem to have taken to 505 Games’ title rather well.
Proving that there is sanity in this world is Lego; Lego Pirates of the Caribbean to be more precise as it maintains a place for itself in the top 10 after selling well enough to finish in at number 8 for the week. THQ’s Red Faction Armageddon has also climbed
up the charts as it seems that a wave of nostalgia is sweeping over United Kingdom as they continue to pick up older games.
The first true ‘Hardcore’ Kinect game, Sega’s Rise of Nightmares is doing well for itself as it seems gamers are warming to it as it is still in the charts for the second week running. The horror themed game comes in at number 6.
Moving on to the top half now and 505 Games chose the best time possible to launch their game, Rugby World Cup 2011. Driver: San Francisco is still driving around at street number four, also known as fourth position as the series debut on next generation
consoles is doing enough to please its fans.
Augmentations are good for many things and climbing back into the top 3 is one of them as Deus Ex: Human Revolution proved after finishing third for the previous week. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine continues its strong release sales as it finished its second
week in the Xbox 360 charts coming in at number 2.
Yet, proving that the world is in fact obsessed with zombies and wants to wake up in a holiday paradise fighting for their lives against hordes of the undead is Deep Silver’s Dead Island. That is it for another week of Xbox 360 charts, more 360 chart news
next week.
