Question:

Dead laptop battery question?

So I was having issues with my laptop a few months ago, and that included needing a new battery, so I replaced it around June. Sunday, when I moved back to my dorm, I had another issue with the laptop so I went to the computer people on campus. (This problem was unrelated to the battery, by the way.)

Anyway, when I got it back, they had fixed the problem, but for some reason my battery appears to be permanently dead. I charged it all night, but the little battery on the taskbar remains at "3% : Charging."

I went back to them and the lady doesn't know what happened. What could've caused this? The battery was brand new and hasn't given me problems in the two months I've had it. It worked fine up until I sent the laptop to those people!

  1. as long as charger is working then no problem =P

  2. I'll TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENED, THOSE  "CAMPUSS PEOPLE STOLE YOUR BATTERY AND STUCK IN THEIR DEAD ONE'  haha

  3. Without getting into ethics, let the battery completely discharge and then re-charge.  That's been known to correct some battery charge indicator issues.....
