Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate character roster expands as two new characters confirmed – Video Game news
The character roster for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate has expanded even further, as two new male fighters have been confirmed for the latest title in the popular fighting game series.
According to the latest issue of Famitsu, the upcoming Dead or Alive game will not only feature Ein as a playable character, but will also have Jacky Bryant from Virtual Fighter making his debut in the series.
For those who are struggling to recall where they have come across the name Ein before, he is the character that Hayate is when suffering from amnesia earlier in the Dead or Alive series.
The addition of Bryant to the Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate character roster takes the number of fighters from the Virtual Fighters franchise to be featured in the upcoming fighting game to four, with Akira Yuki, Pai Chan and Sarah Bryant having made their entry
into the Dead or Alive series already as unlockable characters not too long ago.
Previously, it was announced that Ninja Gaiden’s Momiji will be making his entry into the popular fighting game series.
Aside from adding three new characters to the upcoming Dead or Alive game, developer Team Ninja has confirmed that the game will feature additional modes, mainly the ones that were introduced in Dead or Alive Plus for the PS Vita, as well as new stages.
Level from the Ninja Gaiden series will also be featured in the upcoming game.
Team Ninja has been busy with the development of Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for quite some time now, making some of the fans a bit impatient by taking a bit longer to release the game than expected.
However, it is clear that the developer intends to ensure that the game is as close to the expectations of the fans as possible before making it available in retail and digital stores.
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is slated for a September 5 release in Japan. Even though publisher Tecmo Koei has confirmed that the game will indeed be releasing in the West, it has not given a specific release date for the region yet.
