Dead video camera... how do I get the tape out?

My video camera is dead, as in it won't charge or anything anymore... it's just gone. Anyways, I have a tape in there, and since it's so dead, it won't eject, how can I get it out?

Well, I would consider one of two options:

1)  Take it in for repairs if you care about the camera and want it to work again.

2)  If the camera is trash, and you're sure, then just pry it open and force the eject (watch that it doesn't catch on anything).

Option 2 will likely destroy your camera's tape compartment/motor/springs, etc.
