Deadbeat Dads and Child Support?

Does my father's being in college mean that he's not obligated to pay child support?

P.S. I'm 17, my father lives in Michigan and I live in Tennessee.

Nope he still has to pay. If he does not have a job then they will base it off of minimum wage.

It doesn't matter what else your father is doing, he's obligated to pay child support.  Otherwise, he can be put in jail.

nope.  he still has to pay.  if he isn't working then what he owes goes into arrears and he will owe it to your mom regardless of how old you are when he finally pays it off.

nope it sure doesn't talk to your guardian and try to press for child support.. Go to your local child support office and file in tn since that is where you (the child) resides
