Deadbolts are four times stronger than a chain lock right?

Somebody told me chain locks are stronger than deadbolts.

  1. Deadbolts are stronger if you use a s***w long enough to reach the door frame I would use at least 3 inch screws.


  2. dead bolts are stronger for a couple reasons. A chain lock gives the intruder abot 3 to 4" of slack to get momentum built up to snap it. They are only held in place by a few small screws. A deadbolt has a 1" x 3/4" steel "rod" that is engaged inside the wall that the door is mounted to.

  3. Chain locks are absolutely useless. Deadbolts, if properly installed, work. Maybe even 5 times better.
