Deadline for position of Pakistani team's head coach about to lapse with no native applicants – Cricket News Update
According to reports, no Pakistani candidate has yet submitted an application to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the position of head coach.
Earlier, PCB formulated a committee, which includes Pakistan’s former manager, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waqar-Younis-Maitla-c96193, is stepping down from his charge.
The governing body of cricket in Pakistan also published the ad on its official website, inviting applications from interested parties.
The deadline for the applications is going to lapse on September, 25, 2011.
Sources affirmed that the Pakistani former players are least bothered to apply for the post, as they want PCB to contact them.
Reportedly, many former players are interested in earning the opportunity to coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755; however, they do not want to follow PCB’s application procedure.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s former pacer, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jalal-ud-Din-c65363, who is also eyeing to be considered for the ranks, lashed out at PCB’s ad for the position of the team’s coach, and criticised its content.   
“The ad is just awful and is certainly not meant for a post like head coach,” he had stated while speaking to the media.
Jalal, who has been working as a coach at domestic level, cited that small organizations are better than PCB in publishing their http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-James-Harrison-c41916.
The former right-arm fast bowler, who played 8 One Day International matches, and 6 Tests for Pakistan, added that PCB has always been mocking policies, and termed its coaching ad as a joke.
Coming back to the deadline, Pakistan’s former players, such as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Inzamam-ul-Haq-c64383 are showing great interest for the charge.
Meanwhile, PCB is also seeking candidates from outside Pakistan; however, it is expected that due to security issues in the country, foreign coaches may not show their interest in the job.
