Deadline for signing up for fantasy football?

My draft is Thursday, 7/24 at 6 oclock. My friend is not sure if he will have signed up in time. What time are you cut off from having anybody join your league. Please, I need help.

He can sign up from now until approximately 15 minutes before the actual draft.

In fact, it's very common for a flurry of last minute signups in the Public Leagues.

The bigger question... why are you drafting before the preseason starts?  When injuries happen, managers will quit.

Drafting a league before the end of August is almost a sure bet for having multiple dead teams in your league...

You can solve this problem by moving your draft day to a later one.
