Deadline trade you never would have made

What deadline trade from the past could have drastically changed your teams future?

The Manny trade could change Bostons future, but good or bad, no-one really knows yet.

Looking back at past trades (sometimes hastily) could have really changed a team because they sometimes drastically change a teams future when they give away someone they may need later in order to just chase the playoffs in the current year.

What deadline trade(s) do you think should have never happened because it really seemed to mess up a team?

never would have brought pudge to the yankees. we needed pitching . jose molina is a decent catcher and yes i know he cant hit but the yanks neede to get a quality starter for there rotation

I'm a Braves fan. Our team doesn't get screwed over too much in trades, but I think the worst trade I've ever seen at the deadline was when the Expos were behind us and trying to catch up.

Expos Received:

Bartolo Colon

Tim Drew

Indians Received:

Lee Stevens

Cliff Lee

Grady Sizemore

Brandon Phillips

The last three names were all prospects at the time...but geez. Colon did well for the Expos, but they didn't win the division. We've seen the repercussions it had for the Indians. At the time, people thought that the Expos were geniuses for being able to pull it off.

This wasn't at the deadline, but a trade I wish the Braves never made was Adam Wainwright for JD Drew.

I am going with the Manny trade, and it didn't go through...

Manny in Miami would have sucked. Trading a 24 year old Jeremy Hermida would have screwed the Marlins, and I was so relieved it didnt go down

i wouldnt of trade manny he could of help boston for the rest of the year then he would be in free agents so why would they trade him now and pay him without him being on the team
